About Me
I am a Ph.D. researcher with a passion for studying volcanoes. My research has granted me the wonderful opportunity to have conducted field research in various parts of the world, including the Canary Islands and New Zealand. I am also interested in science communication and have volunteered my time working and educating the general public and K12 students on various topics in geology. My hope is to expand my knowledge and apply them to encompass volcanic systems to other planetary bodies. In my free time, I enjoy playing videogames, reading fantasy books and series, and baking.

I am proud to also say I am a first-generation college graduate and Ph.D. and a second-generation US immigrant. My culture and heritage are kept close to my heart and frequently involve myself in volunteer and education events involving the Filipino community and the general public. I have immersed myself in my culture by learning traditional dances such as tinikling and sayaw sa bangko. I also frequently cook traditional Filipino dishes and share with others in order to share my cultural cuisine and educate others on food from around the world. My belief is that food is one of the quickest ways to learn about a culture!
